Yale Model United Nations
SINGAPORE
March 14-16, 2025
Dear esteemed delegates and advisors,
My name is Andrew, and it is my honor to invite you to the second edition of Yale Model United Nations Singapore, to be held from March 14-16, 2025. YMUNS 2025 marks just the second time that Yale’s Model UN conference has come to Southeast Asia, and my team and I are excited to build on last year’s success to deliver you the best conference experience possible.
YMUN Singapore will bring together some of the brightest minds from around the world to engage in meaningful debate on a diverse range of issues, both regional and global. They will be called upon to inhabit the perspectives of world leaders, and their critical thinking, creativity and problem solving skills will be put to the test as they work together to find solutions to today’s complex issues. We offer committees at all levels, tailored both to newcomers to Model UN and the most experienced delegates, to ensure an enriching committee experience for all.
What sets YMUN Singapore apart is that we are not simply a Model UN conference – we seek to provide a holistic educational experience for our delegates. Through speaker engagements, panel discussions and workshops featuring diplomats, politicians and NGOs, we cultivate delegates’ awareness of pertinent issues facing the Southeast Asian region. We encourage them to become engaged global citizens, and empower them to lead social change in their respective communities. We will also have a delegate dance this year, allowing students to interact and unwind with their peers from all around the world, forging friendships that will last beyond the three conference days.
As the conference approaches, we will be offering initiatives to ensure that all delegates have access to the information they need to prepare for three days of intellectual debate. We will be providing topic guides that will structure the issues that delegates will be discussing, multiple online training sessions for beginner, intermediate and advanced delegates, and office hours where delegates can connect one-on-one with the Yale students who will be running their committees. It is our hope that delegates from all backgrounds feel welcomed, included and empowered to share their unique perspectives at YMUNS.
Do keep an eye out for more conference updates, as our team works to curate the best possible conference experience. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at secgen@ymuns.org. Thank you so much for your interest and continued support of Yale Model United Nations Singapore, and we are looking forward to meeting you in March!
Warmly,
Andrew Lau (he/him/his)
